Medical Science Liaison - ATP Scientific Recruiters Inc.

The MSL serves as the primary point of peer to peer scientific exchange between the company, Thought Leaders and the Healthcare Professionals Community at large. The MSL serves as a source of scientific and medical expertise to internal and external stakeholders and will develop strong product advocacy through KOL development by delivering quality medical education.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Identify, build, and leverage relationships with national, regional and local thought leaders (55%)
Identify and develop key thought leaders for medical education and clinical research opportunities
Develop strategic thought leader plans to provide needs-based, value-added services and to improve their advocacy
Respond to unsolicited requests for information

Provide input and participate in cross-functional initiatives (15%)
Participate in internal and external therapeutic advisory groups and project teams
Publication planning; slide-deck development, training initiatives
Provide field-based medical support to company’s clinical research programs

Deliver quality medical education presentations in a variety of settings and to obtain valuable feedback that can be disseminated throughout the organization (10%)

Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence from multiple sources (5%)

Additional developmental and leadership responsibilities (10%)

Complete accurate and timely administrative reports, projects, and required documentation requests (5%)


Knowledge and Experience
· Pharmacy degree combined with relevant therapeutic research and substantive patient care experience or more advanced degrees (Pharm.D. M.D. Ph.D.)
· Has an established track record of effective and influential oral presentations within the healthcare profession
· Demonstrative relevant therapeutic research – an asset
· Experience with drug therapy positioning with a track record of influencing others to make accurate and effective therapeutic decisions is desired
· Generally has 24 months of experience as a field MSL – an asset
· Demonstration of expertise in key skills and competencies

· Demonstrates deep therapeutic competency - stays abreast of trends and new information in the profession
· Possess knowledge of drug development process and statistics/data management notions
· Keeps up to date with changes in the medical industry, current business initiatives, and competition
· Highly articulate and persuasive during formal and informal presentations (bilingualism is mandatory for a position in the province of Quebec); able to convey complex, scientific ideas fluently to any audience
· Has the ability to tactfully provide scientifically sound, constructive feedback to national, regional and local thought leaders and speakers

Quality Assurance Specialist - Response Biomedical Corporation

Purpose
Responsible for supporting Response Biomedical’s corporate quality management system (QMS) by actively participating in batch review, documentation and control, internal auditing, establishing QMS requirements, and supporting validation activities.
Responsibilities
Reviewing batch records (incoming material records, manufacturing records and test results) against specifications (QA review), completing appropriate documentation, and dispositioning product. Documents any variances from written procedures or common practices.
Participating in the development of QMS documentation, including manufacturing, inspection and testing, and business/corporate process systems.
Acting as a back-up to the Document and Records Coordinator.
Assisting in: the development and review of protocols for validation of processes, test methods, materials and products; testing in support of validation, material software and process qualification; and, stability projects.
Assisting in the development of material and process specifications and requirements.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with corporate quality standards and policies.
Assisting in the calibration and maintenance programs for equipment and devices.
Participating in the Internal Quality Audit program.
Preparing and presenting reports on QMS performance and status to supervisor and co-workers and making recommendations for improvements.
Performing all duties and responsibilities as required by the Quality and Safety Manuals.
Maintaining and tracking QMS systems as assigned.
Performing other duties as required.
The successful candidate qualifications will include:
Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, in a scientific or engineering discipline.
Minimum of 4 years QMS experience in medical device / scientific manufacturing.
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
Efficient work skills in MS Office products. Experience with databases an asset.
Ability to work and interact effectively with others from a variety of positions and backgrounds.
Ability to effectively multi-task and deal with changing priorities.
Good written/verbal communication skills; able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Good technical writing skills.
Knowledge of and direct experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485, GMP, and/or QSR.

Data and IT Support Technician - Centre for Drug Research and Development

Summary
The Data and IT Support Technician oversees processes aimed at developing and maintaining CDRD’s data management systems, and provides IT Helpdesk support.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the IT implementation team, assists in the development of organization-wide data management systems using custom and off-the-shelf components.
Investigates and document bugs in the CDRD Informatics System and reports to the IT Steering Committee
Provides end-user training on IT systems including the CDRD Informatics System.
Provides Level 1/Level 2 IT Helpdesk support on hardware and software issues.
Performs data entry to ensure timely update of information.
Ensures the integrity of data in databases by performing reporting and surveillance of data.
Manages user access and accounts and perform other basic administrator support tasks as assigned.
Works as a member of the IT Team in providing support in maintaining CDRD’s IT Infrastructure.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Diploma in Information Technology, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
A Health Sciences background preferred, with experience in the academia/biotech/pharma industry an asset.
Knowledge of PC hardware and software troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
Working knowledge of relational database architecture.
Experience administering user accounts such as Active Directory an asset.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong customer service/end-user focus.
Ability to quickly adapt to change and new technology.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
