Health Information and Research Division (HIRD) has a limited number of research positions at the Postdoctoral level for qualified candidates who are interested in pursuing health or health care-related research at Statistics Canada. HIRD is dedicated to the provision of high quality, relevant and comprehensive information on the health status of the population and on the health care system. The Division is active in a broad range of health research areas including population health, mental health, child health and development, health measurement and health services research.
The Postdoctoral position(s) in Health Research at Statistics Canada will:
- Offer postdoctoral researchers an opportunity to conduct policy-relevant health research within an environment that is rich with mentoring and training opportunities;
- Provide postdoctoral researchers access to survey and administrative data holdings;
- Promote awareness and use of these data holdings in the general research community.
Statistics Canada accepts applications between February 1st and March 31st each year.
