Reporting to the Director of Knowledge Transfer & Integration Planning or designate, the Coordinator, Evaluation and Monitoring, Northern Cancer Control, you will make a difference in the health of Northerners in a multi-task environment. You will lead the evaluation, monitoring and knowledge exchange process of the Northern Cancer Control Strategy (NCCS) within the Surveillance and Outcomes unit, BCCA. You will oversee and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of tools and data capture means used in the analysis of cancer information. Determining data requirements for projects, you will coordinate data capture activities and ensure the quality and security of the data. You will also conduct program evaluations, consult and support staff in the development and analysis of cancer related data, and assist in the education of Northern Health staff in translating data into information. Assisting in the monitoring of the NCCS, you will gather, review, interpret and analyze financial and statistical data, and align indicators. Liaising with program areas in BCCA and Northern Health, you will help improve the understanding of current service delivery, challenges and future direction. As well, you will facilitate the use of evaluation findings to improve programs and services, and assist in managerial decision-making around those services.

You have a master's degree in a health related, social sciences or a quantitative discipline. As well, you have at least three years' experience working in an analytical capacity in a health service environment, and can conduct overall program evaluations. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. You broadly understand the current issues, challenges and future direction of health care and cancer control in Canada. As an excellent communicator with strong statistical and analytical skills, you are able to prepare written reports and present evaluations to a variety of audiences. Your leadership skills allow you to plan, organize and complete large-scale projects, and foster effective working relationships at all levels.
