Medical Laboratory Technologist, Histopathology
Reporting to the Section Head, the Laboratory Technologist, Histopathology performs established histological procedures including cutting and staining samples and performing other related duties as assigned.
A graduate of a recognized program in Medical Laboratory Technology, you possess current registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and have at least three (3) years of recent related experience in histopathology. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may also be considered. Your proven ability to perform routine histological procedures on minimal samples is supplemented by advanced knowledge of immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization techniques and tissue array preparation. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as is ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing. Your demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize your workload and work with various database and word-processing software programs rounds out your qualifications.
