The Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine of the University of British Columbia is seeking an outstanding physician for a full-time grant tenure-track position at the Associate Professor level in endocrinology. The successful candidate must hold an FRCP (C) or equivalent in Internal Medicine with a Certificate of Special Competence in Endocrinology, have completed an accredited fellowship in endocrinology, and be eligible to practice as a specialist endocrinologist in British Columbia. Candidates are expected to develop an active program in laboratory or clinical research, and will preferably hold a post-graduate degree or equivalent qualification in health or life sciences. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record in thyroid and pituitary medicine. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and will be expected to participate in the undergraduate as well as post graduate teaching activities of the Division. The successful applicant will become Director of the Thyroid Clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital.
The Division comprises 16 academic endocrinologists engaged in clinical medicine, education and research with a full range of medical and surgical resources, institutional facilities and support staff.
